7 Spiritual Steps to Self-Worth in the Darkest Moments!

Who are you in your darkest hour?

This very question was given to me in meditation from my spirit guide teams, two weeks prior to a moment that would bring its own level of darkness into my life.

The Law of Polarity teaches us that we will have moments in our life that will feel blessed and moments that will be painful.  Both understandings are necessary to the whole experience of our lives.  You cannot have one without the other and no single being is immune to this law. You are energy as am I.   These are energy specific scientific laws.

The Law of Attraction teaches us that intent focus on either side of the polarity will bring more of that experience to us.  We attract what we focus on.

The Law of Divine Oneness reminds us that our vibrational effects can impact the whole of our familial communities because we all share the same special energy field.  In truth, we are one.

So, then the Law of Return promises that whatever we put in motion from our vibration will return to its original source.

You see how a simple negative moment can create havoc and chaos if not channeled in the right direction?

The Momentum is HUGE and if you are like me, I am sure you would want MORE of the polarity of blessed experiences in place of the chaotic forms!

What it boils down to is your level of self-worth you have in each of these polarities.  Oddly enough you can see yourself better when the moments are dark verses when they are blessed.  It’s easy to feel good about ourselves when everything is going right, right?  Its who we are in the darkest moments of our lives that determines where the path will take us next.

Are you a victim of your circumstances or are you a WARRIOR/WARRIORESS?  And if we find ourselves in the neighborhood of victimization there are some active measures we can take.

  1. Stop self-identifying who you are in relation to the circumstances. You are NOT the circumstance.  You are merely an active part of the situation that is in result.  A friend of mine recently told me that they were a LOSER because they lost their job and was having trouble finding another in his field; totally self-identifying their sense of self-worth as an active part of the situation.  I asked, what if the loss of job in the field and the idea that you can’t find another in your field is a sign to look for another field of work?  Another woman told me that she was a HEAVY WEIGHT on her friends and family and was a depressed person after losing her husband to cancer six months prior.  I asked her if maybe she was still in a place of healthy grieving and wasn’t a depressant on others at all?  If you are experiencing money issues and identify yourself as poor because of them then you are as well self-identifying in your experience.
  1. Recognize that your experience is a moment of polarity not the totality of your life. We experience polarities for several reasons.
    1. To help bring painful blockages to the surface so we may deal with them effectively.
    2. To have faith in our belief systems. There is nothing more prompting to pull out our spiritual tools when faced with the less wanted place of polarity.
    3. To remind us to be grateful for the blessed moments.
    4. To teach us how to move past these kinds of experiences in the future.

If you are going through hell right now, recognize you are NOT ACTUALLY IN   HELL!  What internal feelings is this experience bringing you? Now that you are knowing how you are feeling; how can you heal this place in your life?

  1. Allow and Be Gentle with Yourself. The other side of Polarity may be painful; you don’t want to ignore the emotions that come as a result.  Doing so, will create what we can describe as spiritual bypassing and create painful blocks that you will have to deal with later.  Allow yourself a period of time to feel the pain and go through the emotional state – even anger is okay!  Pay attention to what comes up in the process of this though!  This is significant to healing. The key to switching from victimization to warrior mode is to allow yourself to experience the emotion but not stay stuck in it!  Feel the pain and honor yourself in the process.  Some examples of how to do that are as follows:  Lavender baths; Smudging, going into ritual, allowing for longer meditations, journaling, showing gratitude for the blessed places in your life and showing gratitude for the polarity of them are the pathways to move this in a positive direction.

  1. Walk Away! Ok, you may be like WHAT?  Seriously whenever we go through an emotional trauma or experience; after experiencing the emotional place of it, it’s okay to walk away from it for a moment (but just momentarily depending on the situation – a couple of hours or couple of days is perfectly fine).  Have you ever heard the expression – it’s hard to see when you are in the box; but looking in from outside the box you can see things clearer?  This will allow us the time to separate from the victimization emotional state essentially getting us out of the box and allow us to process the next steps more effectively.  You may choose not to discuss it or focus on it at all.  Do something else more constructive!  Get your mind busy on another project.  Profound guidance can often come much easier if our focus is in another complete direction.  This is the perfect time to put that puzzle together; paint, write, be crafty or artistic.

  1. Be Authentic – Give Yourself some Love: This is a time for you to focus on every single one of your strengths even if they are not affiliated with the polarity itself.  Are you good at making spaghetti?  Give yourself some kudos for that!  How about driving?  Are you a good driver?  Kudos to you!  Are you a good mother or father? Kudos!  Good employee? Kudos!  Do you make people laugh?  Kudos!  List them out as many as you can, give yourself all the love you can from the real strengths in the entire shape of your personality!  Every being has something very special about them.  What makes you unique and special?  Talk it out loud.  Feel what comes as a result from it and give yourself some gratitude too!  Run to the mirror and look at that amazing reflection and say “Hey you! Thank you for making awesome spaghetti!”

  1. Be of Service in your experience of Polarity: We see this all the time in grieving families and crisis intervention. There is no greater teacher than a student in service.  No matter what it is, someone else is probably experiencing some level of the experience you are having.  Be a listener, really listen, don’t take over the conversation with your own experience in the polarity.  Listening can provide some benefits
    1. An opportunity to see the situation from a different perspective.
    2. An opportunity to listen back to your own advice. How would you handle the situation? What are some creative ideas that you can come up with to help this individual?
    3. A new friendship or partnership; like minds can strengthen each other!

  1. Focus on the Polarity of the Polarity itself! Every situation has its opposite.  What would your situation look like if you experienced the exact opposite of what is occurring?  Get dreamy with it, feel it!  This is the basis of the Law of Attraction!  Create vision boards; affirmations!  Have faith in the process.

There are always divine energies at play.  If you ever saw an Angel or Deity; you wouldn’t doubt that they could create the realities they want. Why would you ever think that you don’t possess the same kind of creation energy? You are blessed with divinity!  It’s a part of your source of being.   Remember that!  If we didn’t have the polarities to  deal with, we would never have anything to strive for, desire for and the experience here would be absolutely meaningless.

I would love to invite you to join my Inner Goddess Success Synergist Group on Facebook!  This group wil have a challenge available to it on the above steps in the process of manifesting through polarity.

Much love!

Alea

Those Suck Ass Experiences (a spiritual point of view)

dropped-lollipop-in-the-dirt

Do you define yourself by your experiences?

Maybe your guy or gal cheated on you, so you no longer trust the opposite sex?  Maybe you lost your job and so now you are struggling to find yourself in a new career path? Maybe if you hadn’t gotten pregnant you would have finished college?  Maybe the things you have seen in life made you hard?

Are you surrendering yourself to your bad experiences?  Giving up.  Not moving forward.  Confused. Lonely.  Depressed.

In my very own suck ass experience, I decided to call out the divine.  As a channel, I often receive guidance to the things that plague me in life.  It doesn’t mean that I don’t have experiences that are not welcome, but often times it means I have a navigation pilot beside me.  So I asked:

What is the purpose of life?  It’s the age ole question right?   I mean monks and sages and clergy men and women have been searching for the answer for lifetimes… Who the hell was I to ask such a question and expect an answer?

I got one.  It was one word:  Experience.

I embraced that word wholeheartedly.  It told me we weren’t here to fulfill a certain purpose or to right a wrong or to learn a lesson.  We were here to embrace the human experience because in our natural state of spiritual beings we do not have them.

The problem arises when we begin to define the experiences as good and bad.  That’s the human ego condition….not the spiritual one.

We may tell ourselves that we are in transition from an experience we label as not so good…but the truth is is that we are always in transition.  Through our happiest of experiences and through our saddest experiences.  Because life keeps moving…..and every moment is a new experience that brings you to the next moment of experience.

These experiences we have are our momentum’s forward either positive or negative. The experiences are bringing to us emotions, memories, knowledge…they are the momentum to the next moment and so if we would stop labeling who we are by the experiences we can clarify the experience as a method of momentum and clarity to bring to us to having better experiences.

The law of attraction and the law of polarity are very deep seeded in these moments.

The law of polarity says that for every single thing there is its opposite.  So if we are experiencing what we label as a negative moment; we must know that there is an opposite moment to experience.  We only feel loss when we have loved so much.  We only feel pain when we know what its like to feel bliss.

Watch this!  You are Not Defined by your Experiences (FB Live)

So if we took each moment…and defined it only as an experience; and we looked to the experience as the momentum forward….then we are moving into consciousness to bring us clarity in the next moment.

The law of attraction says that emotion is the biggest catalyst to bringing you more of the same.  So if we looked to our experiences as necessary tools for our growth instead of dwelling or feeling dread within them…than we can naturally expect improved results.

bumpy road

You are not the totality of your experiences.  The totality of your experiences are because of you.

Trouble Connecting In Meditation

The reflections you see staring back at you are the perceptions you create. What do you wish to see-

Meditation was difficult for me this morning.

I handpicked crystals to hold in my left hand and handpicked crystals to hold in my right.  I sat down and made myself comfortable and began breathing deeply in through the nose and out through the mouth.

As I sat there breathing…I realized I wasn’t slipping into an alpha state of mind.  My connection to my physical body and presence around me was still intact.  My mind began twirling with ideas of what needed to be done today.  But I knew I needed this time, my meditation routine is important.

So I continued breathing, with the ongoing deep seeded knowledge that nothing was happening.  I began to feel as if this was the first time I have ever meditated and I began to think of those who are just starting out their practices and how difficult they must find this.

The crazy thing is, is that meditation is rather simple.  Matter of fact, many of the connections we so strive to receive are, it’s the one thing that spirit consistently shows me.

We make this stuff difficult.

So instead of popping my eyes open and saying to HECK WITH IT…I decided that I would try different things.  As I sat there staring at the blackness of my eyelids, I decided to drop the crystals (all but one) onto the pillow before me. As I did I began to feel a little tingle in my right palm.  So I touched my thumb against my middle finger and held a raw garnet in my left.

I began to notice that my body wasn’t relaxing and I stated in my mind…why don’t you allow your body to relax a bit.  The breathing wasn’t working so I decided to try different breathing methods.

Breathing in through my nose and out through my nose.

Breathing in through my mouth and out through my nose.

More rapid shallow breaths.

Deeper Deeper Deeper breaths.

I felt a tug on my ponytail.  Odd, I thought but I kept going.  My mind was littered with thoughts so I tried my mind silencer I give all my students.  I started repeating….

“I am breathing in, I am breathing out”

Wasn’t working.  I was still staring at a black abyss behind my eyelids and I was still inherently aware of my physical presence.  Just then, Teddy my dog started to lick my left hand – the one with the raw garnet.  I pulled my hand in towards my belly and away from his cold wet tongue!!

What is going on I thought to myself…why am I feeling completely unconnected.  I need this!

Beta brain waves suck when you are trying to get into a spiritual alpha connection, I thought to myself.  Or do they?

I decided since nothing was coming to me on my own, that I would build a bridge.  I called it the bridge to my subconscious.  I made it in gold and allowed it to sparkle.  All around it was this dark black abyss…so I decided to cross it.  As I stepped up on it, I noticed it wobbled, was uneven, and it made me a little nervous.  I looked down into black crevices and all around me was a seemingly black hole.  But I needed to get across, I had to keep going.  So I took another step and as I did I said STEP…

And then I started counting… 1, 2 .3 4, 5…STEP…

Suddenly I began to see a bright white light on the other side of the bridge.  Mistakenly I told myself…I am going to step into consciousness.  So I corrected myself and said – No, you are heading over to your subconscious mind….

And then I started counting again…  1, 2, 3, 4 5 STEP

I felt myself excited that I was moving into CONSCIOUSNESS and I allowed it to be.  I stepped into the white light and what I began to see was half painted white/pink/yellow stucco cement like walls.  I didn’t immediately realize it in meditation but this is clearly a sign of reconstruction, rebuilding and design.  A continuation that I am still designing my life.

The walls began to form into what appeared to be a bathroom.  I saw a toilet and a bunch of mirrors.  Still the room was in construction mode but as soon I was out of meditation I realized that this was a sign I needed to release my fears related around this reconstruction of my life.  I felt an uneasiness and a twinge of fear.

What was I afraid of?  I called in my spirit guides and asked the Goddess to be invoked through me as I sat wavering between Beta and Alpha.  And then suddenly I was walking along a hall and which I began to see beautiful mirrors.  I was walking up beside them…not looking directly in them.  I could see them but not see my reflection.  I knew I needed to look directly in them..but something was stopping me.

I asked the Goddess to assist me in looking at my reflection to help me walk over and look at the image of myself.  She refused and told me that it was up to me to create the reflection I wanted to see staring back at me.  She stated:

The reflections you see staring back at you are the perceptions you create.  What do you wish to see?

I walked up to the mirror and created an image of the Goddess. I stated I am powerful and strong.  Beautiful and Wise.  Humble and loving.  All that I seek is within me.

Like a flash. I was moving back into beta this time staring at the whiteness behind my eyelids.  I reluctantly opened my eyes and looked at the world around me.

ODDLY.  I realized I was in meditation the WHOLE TIME.  Everything about the way I felt during what seemed to be a hard transition was such a different FEEL than what I was experiencing the moment I opened my eyes.

Trouble making a connection in meditation?  It’s true the most important element is to just close your eyes and breathe.  And let everything else just follow.

STOP trying to manifest THINGS! Ask for enrichment instead!

What if I told you that your efforts in manifesting THINGS was creating limitations in your life?  This was the message I received from my spiritual team this morning.

The Law of Vibration and the Law of Attraction has been a game changer for many of us in today’s awakening world.  And what an incredible thing, right?

People of all walks of life are sharing gratitude and feeling more appreciation and are looking for the joy in their lives more than ever before.  This is a good thing.  And from it, people are manifesting like never before – for the most part.

You see before the Law of Vibration and the Law of Attraction were popular – it was still universal law.  Or was it?  Did the power of the way the masters interpreted these energy laws change the way they worked?

Oh you are very powerful you magical being you!

These laws now teach us that giving gratitude and having appreciation help us to bring more wanted THINGS in our lives.  And we always want more THINGS…don’t we?  Or do we?

We know that the real power of manifestation, thanks to Abraham Hicks, is that it’s not the things that make us happy, we think that in the possession of receiving those things will bring us happiness, but the real power is to achieve happiness and that those things will come.

True.  To a degree.

You see the subconscious mind is the most powerful indicator in all of this.  I want to point out something very important in all of this.

Giving gratitude and having a deep appreciation for a particular something are very different in degrees.  You see, if my average level of expectation is that I am to have a roof over my head and then I sit down to write out my gratitude list and I state:  I am thankful for the roof over my head, then I am certainly showing gratitude…but because my average level of expectation is that I have a roof over my head, I have always had a roof over my head, I don’t know what it’s like to go without one…then I wouldn’t experience the same level of appreciation to someone who knows what it’s like to once live on the street and now have a roof over their head.  For this person when they write out that they are grateful for the roof over their head, the subconscious mind responds with an energy output that responds with a deep emotional appreciation because the subconscious mind remembers…it remembers everything. And in their honest appreciation, they may for instance, take good care of their home; keep it clean and truly love it.  And thus manifestation is activated – to that degree.

(PSSST…Check this out)   Heaven or Hell?  Where do we go when we die?

So this doesn’t mean that the person who is truly appreciative of her home is going to come into more money through Law of Attraction…her degree of level of appreciation will help her to now always keep a roof over head and even possibly her homes she lives in grows larger and get better and maybe in some ways money comes in for that and in some ways it may be through the kindness of others, a partner or even through hefty loans and even debt.  Get the point?

So in another example, a single mom who is poor in finances needs diapers. She is worried about not having enough diapers.  She shows gratitude and appreciation for the things she does have for her baby and in LOA, she receives a $20 bill and goes and buys diapers.  Her appreciation level is for the diapers not necessarily the $20 bill.  The subconscious mind remembers the need for diapers that was the desire for the money to buy them.  The manifestation principle WAS and always was the diapers.  And so in her degree of appreciation she begins to receive the things she needs for the baby and not necessarily the money.

Is this making sense?

So if I am wanting to manifest more money, giving love and appreciation to my friends may certainly strengthen my bonds with my friends and may make me happy in that degree but the manifestation principle is on the friendships which will draw more of that…and not necessarily more money.

Thus the once poor person who experiences a windfall in money may have more a deep appreciation for the windfall then they do the money.  The excitement of the windfall is the manifestation principle.  The subconscious emotional attachment is to that.  And so then they may begin to experience windfalls in many other ways while their relationship to money which is sitting in the subconscious is still the same and the end result will always be the same until the subconscious mindset is cleared of its relationship memory to money.

And so the focus on manifesting becomes construed and even a little unbalanced.  Because in the efforts of manifesting THINGS we are forgetting about the relationships to energy that are within our subconscious.

A person who is loving and always gives love may be suffering from loneliness in romantic love if their subconscious memory is one that remembers their parents going through the motions of being in a relationship but never really being in love with each other until they finally experienced a nasty divorce.

Our physical lives and the things that are in it, our emotional responses and even those things that are missing from it are indicators of our subconscious mindset.  When we let go of trying to manifest those things that are seemingly missing and we instead manifest enrichment as a totality of our lives that’s when things begin to change.  How do we do that?

When we ask for enrichment as a totality of our lives we begin to identify what feels wrong – and we reach to learn about why it feels wrong. What in the feeling of the wrongness can you identify as the indicator in your subconscious mindset?  And in what other areas in the mundane physical world can you identify it in a positive light.

For example:

The woman who is alienated from romantic love because her parents were never in love may begin to look at the divorce they had as a positive instead of a negative especially if either of those two found romantic love with someone else.  It says romantic love is possible even in the face of falling out of love with another.

For the person who sees money as the root to all evil they may actually begin to realize that money itself is not evil but maybe the actions of a person or persons who have a lot of money may have some dark intentions.  But it’s not the money itself. And maybe they begin to look at how money used in other ways has helped and even shown in a positive light.

I am a big fan of showing gratitude and in giving appreciation.  I am also a big fan of giving in those things you so desire or need in your life… i.e.  You need support – you give support.  You need love – you give love.  But I think it’s more than just writing out gratitude journals.  We have to get to the heart of the matter of our subconscious which is enrichment.  And in that you may not only begin to receive what is missing, but you will also heal a shadow part of you and even more important change the strand of energy that has been limiting you. enrichment-2

All my love,

Alea Dawn

Hey Drama Haters, I Hear You!

drama-queens

What if I told you that people creating drama doesn’t really exist?

I know, I know!  I am just like you – I despise what we call drama.  The constant incessant complaining, the whining.  UGH it drives me insane!  I am all about empowerment, I want to see people working through their shit – not complaining about it.  So I do what you do… I ignore the phone calls, or I don’t pay attention to the Facebook posts, or I make excuses to not engage with THAT person.  It makes me feel better to not have to hear it, over and over and over again. I may even drop in every now and again to let THAT person know I love them and care about them – I have just been so busy!

But then, something hit me.  What if those who we consider DRAMA LLAMA’s are really just experiencing an emotional pain?  And what if those people, in their pain, don’t realize their selfishness in their overindulgence of their own personal “life issues”.

What if their shit is real? And not a performance we can see on a stage?drama-free-zone

The emotion that drives me to a level of insanity or wanting to ditch is about me, not about them.  It’s actually my own level of disempowerment and selfishness that I hide. That I bury deep within.  Think about it.

If I was truly a caring person and loved my drama displaying friend – wouldn’t it be more empowering for me to say this –

“I love you but you are driving me insane with your constant complaining.  All I see or hear from you is whining.  I know what you are experiencing is real but look you are driving people who can help you away and bringing back to you people who want to stay in that level of lowness.  Do you want to stay here, friend?  Or are you ready to look at some things we can do and create action to get past this?  Cause if you are I am on board and if you are not, I have got to enact my boundaries and move on.”

Would you say that?  Does that sound mean?  It’s the truth right?  Ask yourself if you are being a better friend by putting it on the line or by running away from it.  Ask yourself how healthy it is to run away for you.  Are you afraid to speak the truth?  Everything we ever want is on the other side of fear right?

We too often use our spirituality as an umbrella to hide issues that are arising within ourselves. Fear in speaking the truth for instance.  We call it boundaries by hiding away from things that make us uncomfortable instead of facing those things dead on.

There is no drama.  There is only our reaction to it and what we do with it.

pucker-up-llamaI am being more loving and much more of a friend by looking at my buddy and saying “stop being a whiney bitch!  Pucker up, we got work to do” than I would be by ignoring her phone calls and dropping by once a month to say I care…which is false.

Your thoughts?

Puckering up!

Trust Pact – With yourself

Today, as I sit at the keyboard and write; I have no idea what is about to come out.  You see, today, I drew a blank in my own mind as to what I should write about.  But I know I must write, and I am in full channel to my spirit guides that whatever needs to be written will be for my highest purpose and those of you who happen to stubble upon this writing.

I suppose its all just a matter of trust.  Trust  – now for five little letters that is such as big word, isn’t it?  Trust.  Trust in what?  Trust in your guides?  In the universe?  In another human being? Or is it trust within yourself that gives this little word so much power.

We are born into this world as mere human beings, we err and we sin and we lose our way sometimes.  But we focus so much on being the most perfect human being that when we fall we tend to be the harshest of critics on ourselves…our human selves.  But human beings are not perfect, are we?  So its ok to slip and fall sometimes and its ok to lose our way. And it is not how we handle our transgressions that define our inner soul.  IT IS NOT!  For that is the human in is.  And its ok to slip and fall.

We each, every single one of us carry within us a divine being.  A soul born of divinity and a light of pure love and peace and infinite wisdom. This part of you has traveled and experienced many life times, has seen many realms.  You may call it your higher self or you may call it a soul, it doesn’t matter how you define it, it is just is.. A divine part of yourself.  A perfection manifested by the Universe and Heavens.

Transmute Negative Energy with Pink Love

I urge everyone reading this writing today to take a moment and search deep past the skin, bones, blood, and organs that make you human and find that inner divine you.  Seek the messages from your own spirit in healing.  Ask yourself what you can do to move past your troubles.  Knowing that your troubles are not real, they are only human and human beings are not perfect.  Call to your inner perfection and become one with him or her today, and offer your human self forgiveness and love.  And trust that this part of you – the divine self is loved, for you are so loved that you have the innate power to love yourself immensely even during the most difficult of human troubles.

And remember your brothers and sisters here on earth, for they are only human and they will err, sin and lose their way.  Forgive them for their sins against you and send them divine love as divine as your true self, your innate self.  And trust that the universe works in mystical ways to each and every one of us in a way that is perfect for our own understanding in our very own lessons.

Our highest purpose is always being met should we ask for it and should we trust it, that it may not be in the way we THINK we want to receive it.  For that thought process comes from the human self – the imperfect self.  The self that is still growing and learning, the self that will sometimes slip, fall and lose its way.  And its ok.

For you are loved so deeply that you have been given the power to love yourself for everything your human self is and is not, right now.  Make a pact with your human self  today to always  try and search out the divine self in every area of your life both positive and negative and trust that it is there.

All my love,

Alea

Without Lemons

sugar-water

When life throws you lemons….

You have heard the saying.  And if you are like me, you probably even said it a million %&$#ing times.  You have probably said it so much that you are sick and tired of even referencing it.  Hell you probably don’t even like lemonade.

But…here we are.

And here I am.  Still sick as a dog, fighting back a flu virus I am hoping doesn’t turn into bronchitis.  Again.  Barely sitting after a bad fall that landed me on my rear end on hard slippery tile floor.  I am tired.  I have a lot going on in my life and I have no energy.  No oomph, not get up and go, lack of motivation and yet searching hard for some inspiration.

I find myself at many crossroads in my life.  I often don’t understand them.  For someone who believes so deeply in the power of magick, the power of the universe, the empowerment of self, and the faith of the energy that stands with us and guides us; why am I always facing some form of turmoil?

This morning before I wrote this I cried.  For the past week, I kept having dreams and experiencing odd synchronizations that were urging me to NOT give up.  And I would say to myself.  Why? Why do I keep seeing this?  I am trying hard, I am pushing forward, I am working on my mindset, I am listening to motivationals, I am praying, meditating, I am speaking my mind to the Goddess.  Why would I need to be reminded to not give up?

Because this morning I needed it.

All of  a sudden, after working so hard to keep my get up on go, I crashed. And it began last night, after all this mindset work I have been doing, a lady messaged me with a life problem she was experiencing.  Her entire message was a complete mirror to my own life and my own issues.  And my heart sunk.

“I am not changing my mindset at all.  I am attracting the same to me.  I see my mirrors” and so last night as i slept I played some reinforcing hypnotic binaural beats to speak to my subconscious as I slept.  I wasn’t giving up.

I had a dream we were being attacked by aliens.  .There were a bunch of them and they were tiny like fairy kind of creatures and they were raining down on us.  I realized I could actually grab one and snap it in half and when I did it folded like paper and disintegrated.

So this morning when I was full long in my tears. I cried, “and whats up with the stupid meaningless dream, I thought dreams were supposed to provide us with guidance.”

And then I heard it. Yes I face many crossroads in my life but I do believe in the power of the universe, I have faith in the energy because they always let me know they are there.  And often times, its powerful.

“Without Lemons.”

And to which I immediately responded, “there would never be lemonade.”

In fact, if we look at this old saying and the manifestation principles we would realize that the  lemons are the contrasts and the lemonade is the joy.  The lemons are the main ingredient of lemonade.  Without lemons, we would just have sugar water….

And who wants that.

The dream was showing me that the issues at hand, were foreign objects to my life.  Yes there many and yes they were raining down on me but they were small fragments in a period of life; they were not the meaning of my life.  And the satisfaction of it all was that i could grab each one and snap it in half and disintegrate it because I was larger in my life than they were and much more stronger.

And as I sit here and write this applied meaning to my own life; I realize in fact that if you are still reading this, that maybe you can too apply it to your own.

Its not about making lemonade out of the lemons.  Its about understanding that you can’t have lemonade without the lemons. Joy is experienced through contrasts.  Because without the contrasts you wouldn’t understand joy.  It would just be sugar water.. boring, bland, distasteful.

And who wants that.

The gift, the meaning, is not in experiencing the contrasts. Its understanding why they are present.  You often hear ‘be grateful for the contrasts’ And now I say, don’t necessarily be grateful for the contrasts,  be grateful for that knowing of why they are present.

The joy I will receive will come from learning how to navigate through the contrasts.  Which is what I am doing by not giving up.

Never give up.  If you are experiencing doors closing upon you.  Don’t spiritual bypass the closed doors and look for open ones.  Doors are always opening for us, but if we proceed through them with the same mindset that we possessed when other doors closed, then we can only expect more closed doors.

Ask yourself, “why”.  Without beating yourself up, be honest with yourself.  Why did this door close?  Was it mindset? Habits? Simple errors?

Ask yourself, “how”.  How can I prevent another door closing? What are some actions steps I can take in my own life?  Whats in my spiritual toolbox?

Remind yourself that you possess the spark of the divine within you and with that you are worthy being worthy of well being and abundance.  Connect to your divine systems.  Ask for guidance.  We are powerful beyond measure when our energy comes forward armed with all there is.

On a side note:  I am grateful for the meanings that come from the crossroads in my life.  It gives me a beautiful opportunity to remember spirit and all there is; it keeps me talking to them and reaching for guidance, receiving guidance and it inspires me to share what I receive with you.

All my love,

Alea Dawn

Just Another Day?

bold-or-italic

Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.  ~ Marilyn Monroe

Its Saturday, the sun is shining, the temperature outside is sixty something degrees.  I have a plate full of things I need to do and yet I feel called to write an entry today.  A day in the life of a medium is what I originally planned to call this and I was going to write about how a day in the life of a medium was usually just another day like anyone else’s…..

But today, I woke up to a dream that urged me to wake up.  It wasn’t a dream filled with ghosts or spirits.  It was a dream that urged me to wake up  and handle a piece of business I had with a disgruntled student.  And so as i fumbled around at 5 am this morning afflicted with the subsets of an ongoing flu virus, I downed some Vitamin C, sought out and invoked a green healing light and sorted my thoughts and plans for the day.

Stuff like driving my boyfriend and son to work so I could have the car.  And more stuff like going to the post office.  Stuff about  like this blog for example and how I really want to try to write in it every single day.  Stuff like the changes and additions I need to make to my websites.  Recordings I have to do.  Stuff like how I can be of service to someone today. What’s for dinner?  The Yule Tree decorations.  You know the boring stuff.

And so on my way home from dropping everyone off I was contemplating a decision I needed to make today and I decided to seek some help from the clouds because I love using Aeromancy (cloud divination)  and I got a perfect YES answer!

I got home, got my daughters boyfriend to the post office and came back home again. Grabbed a slice of pizza and while warming it up, asked the Goddess to present me with some inspiration for this blog.  Because I felt…called to write it.

And she showed me stuff.

She reminded me of all the unique, quirky things I do in the course of just another boring day.  The things that have become natural for me to do.  The stuff I actually like about me. And then I thought about you…like all of you and how each of us are unique and probably have our own quirky things that we like about ourselves and how they are just incorporated into just another boring day.

When you highlight those things, whatever they are…the day doesn’t become boring at all.  It actually reminds you of how your small unique little contribution to the minutes and moments of life effects the balance.

This life is magical and mostly because your in it.  Because I am in it.  Because Joe Shmo is in it.  We are part of the eccentricities of the entire universe.  And so each day can never be just another day because you never get that day back, or this moment back or the last two minutes back.

The moment is special.  Every moment.  Because they lead to more moments that are just as special.   And whether you are resting in one moment, having thoughts in another or active in the next, each moment leads to a new moment with new opportunity to rest, think or become active.

I ask you…

Whats cool and unique and a little quirky about you?  What are some ways you contribute to this crazy magical world?  What do you like about you that you do so automatically in every day that you just don’t even realize how special it is?

If you don’t know…ask the universe, the divine, the goddess, your guides, or whatever you wish…to show it to you.  Just ask – that’s all that is required of you.

Here’s to just another of those…magical days.

all my love,

Alea Dawn

Are You Ready?

This morning I took a drive.  I needed to clear my head.  I needed to reach the divine part of me that was screaming with inspiration and answers.  It was good….cause I had “stuff” I needed to release.

car

I thought about going to the beach which was only a short trip of about 15 minutes or so; but I don’t know,  in that moment it felt, well, honestly it felt laborious. I didn’t want to have anything else to do. I just wanted to be and in this drive alone with the radio blaring some old tune from the 90’s; I was in my being.  It was good.

It was amazing actually.

I was driving along thinking about relationships and the little sacrifices each person makes in the relationship to make things work.  You know the give and takes.  And how being in a relationship changes us in some ways.  Some ways for the good, some for the bad.  And this is true in all relationships I felt or feel.  There has to be a give and take and overtime these little gives and takes begins to define where we are and where we are headed.  It’s worth it.  It really is.  But when the give and takes become so much that it changes the totality of who you are, when you no longer recognize the person reflecting back in the mirror  – there is a problem.

And so I decided to pull over.  I needed to make a connection.  I put the car on park, turned down the radio and looked into the trees and just took a breath.  I needed to clear my mind.  I continued breathing and staring off into nature until my thoughts drifted into blank space and I asked the Goddess to be with me, to provide me with a sense of clarity and direction.  She came through with a very simple message.

You have been neglecting your own self; you are not looking after your own well-being.

That’s all she said.  It was all that needed to be said.

You see here that she didn’t say….

Your relationship is responsible, or that your partner is responsible or that your kids are responsible or that your career choices are responsible or that the people I surround myself are responsible or that what my parents did to me 20 years ago were responsible….

She said YOU.  And she didn’t provide any further instructions or action steps because she didn’t need to.  She knew that I was aware of how and why I have been neglecting myself but I needed to open my awareness to it.  The stuff that resides in the subconscious and the heart was open for me to see and if I wanted to feel better and feel more connected to who I was in this moment, then I already possessed the knowledge of what to do next.  And it wasn’t up to anyone else, divine or in physical to make me feel better.  It was up to me.

And so that got me thinking about responsibility.

Our perceptions of each other are often skewed and misguided; looking at this from an internal view point makes me question, how can we responsibly give someone else the responsibility of making us feel a certain way.  If we do shift the responsibility, it’s only because in the truth of it, we are neglecting ourselves and not looking after our own well-being.

As a medium, I often feel so blessed to be open to these connections.  It’s why I teach what I do, to help others make that connection for themselves…because the “stuff” truly is powerful.  But just because I have these connections and the guidance, doesn’t mean I am always willing to listen or follow through with what I am given.

I am like the rebellious teen, ready to experience and constantly falling on my backside.

The responsibility of where I am is determined by the choices I decide to make. That’s a pretty bold statement. In this way, the idea of free will is really cool – well sometimes it is.

Sometimes it means that I get bruised up and scarred.  Sometimes it means that I learn the lessons harder than others.  Sometimes it brings me to a place of resolve of inner conflict and sometimes it just makes me a better teacher.

Responsibility is a really big word. We hear it and there is an automatic pull back within kind of reflex that happens.  Because realizing our responsibility in all that exists in our lives, can sometimes make us feel bad about our choices.  It can bring up self-sabotage and guilt and when we choose to honor those feelings can bring us to a really low lying place.

What if for a moment, this moment, we chose to accept the understanding that the past isn’t a reflection on who we are or where we are today, but who we once were and where we once resided.

That sort of lessens the responsibility of the past, doesn’t it?

I have often said and will probably continue to say, the past has brought you here, right here to this now moment… and that is so very true but in the reality of the now moment, this now moment, the past is not a breathing, rhythmic mechanism of what happens next.  The only thing alive right now IS the now moment, right now, and right now and yes right now.  You get the picture?

If you want to bring yourself to a better feeling place with more positive experiences, then you have to take what you have now.  Sure you could wish for some things and most likely you will but you can’t stop action because you are daydreaming of what you could do if you had xyz.   You just can’t or err, uhm, actually you could; it’s a choice that you get to make.

It’s like driving down a straightaway on a one way road.  You pass a really cool store, which you wished you would have visited, but you can’t turn around and go back.  You just can’t, it’s not possible.  You can pull over, stomp the ground and pout if you wanted to but if you want to shop at a really cool store, the only thing you can do is keep going and hope another really cool store comes up.  And I bet, this time on the route in front of you, you will be looking a little more closely to what’s going on around you, so you don’t miss it again.  But if you want to get there, all you can do right now right here is press the gas pedal.

So my question to myself and to you is this….

Are you ready to get back in the driver’s seat?

This means that you are in control of the path that lies ahead.  This means that you have to be more aware of what is going on around you.  This means you will have to pay attention to the signs and if you think those signs are leading you to a destination you hope for, this means you have to follow them.  This also means if you accidentally pass one path up, that you can’t stop your entire motion in wishing you hadn’t.  This means that if you choose to take passengers on the trip with you that you understand, while they can help you navigate the path a little, they are not the ones responsible for turning down certain roads, you got the wheel.

You own the car…it’s your responsibility.  And this means if you have an accident you have to take responsibility for it or offer forgiveness for others who cause them. It also means that maybe in order to keep moving in a positive direction, you may have to pause and reflect to get it sorted.  It also means you are responsible for its upkeep. If it breaks down, it means you may have to take a detour to get it fixed.

Sure you can cry about it.  Sure you can beat yourself up for not getting that oil changed.  Sure you can, but if all you do is cry and beat yourself up, you will not progress to the nearest mechanic.  You have to make the decision to get it fixed.  You have to create action.  What’s in your toolbox?

Every action leads to a new destination.  Which means that you will have to appreciate where you are to get to what’s next.  This life is an incredible road trip and there are fascinating things along the way.

If you accept all this and you are ready, I promise you this.  Spirit will give you the keys.

I got mine.

All my love,

Alea Dawn
